THOMAS SCHUTTE Selected Works 24 January – 1 March, 2002 Faggionato Fine Arts is pleased to announce the opening of their show of Selected Works by the highly acclaimed German artist, Thomas Schütte. Regarded as one of the most important artists working today, his installations, sculptures, models, drawings and watercolours take many and often contradictory guises. Using a wide range of materials, Schütte has become known for his architectural models and figurative sculptures through which he explores subjects such as nature, culture and politics. The exhibition at Faggionato Fine Arts concentrates on works from the 1990s. It includes ceramics, self-portraits, a series of watercolours entitled 24 portraits of women, and photographs from the United Enemies,1994 series, together with wax models, and Ghost, 1995 figures in PVC. Schütte has exhibited and made permanent commissions across Europe and America.
